Krazy Kat & Ignatz!

Spring has arrived in New England and so it must be time for CraftBoston Spring at the Cyclorama in the South End. Lots of new work is coming to this show.  The latest piece out of the studio is Krazy Kat.

I found these two Krazy Kat teacups at a flea market and loved the graphics.   A little research and I learned all about Krazy Kat.

Krazy Kat & Ignatz

The Krazy Kat comic strip focuses on the curious relationship between a guileless, carefree, simple-minded cat named Krazy of indeterminate gender and a grumpy mouse named Ignatz. Krazy nurses an unrequited love for the mouse, but Ignatz despises Krazy and constantly schemes to throw bricks at Krazy’s head. Krazy interprets this as a sign of Ignatz’s affection.
